Founded in 2008 as The Michael Guerra Band,  the band was re-branded in 2016 as The Nights Calling.  The first record was a popular success reaching into the 20's on both the Texas and National charts.

Guerra continued touring with the Nashville band The Mavericks as he worked on the 2nd record and first under the new moniker The Nights Calling

In 2019 the band released the first single off the new record "Spread the Love."
